Nail Biting Nervous..ness...

So I wake up at 8:30 this morning (which is ungodly early for me) to finish my portfolio and get ready for my interview with Anthropologie. The position open is for a display coordinator. Basically someone is given a song, mood, color, etc. for inspiration and they come up with, buy supplies for, and assemble a window display to fit that inspiration. Basically the coolest job ever. I have no idea how much the position pays -- don't even care, but was SO excited at the possibility of being considered. Out of the 5,000 it feels like interviews I have been on, this is the only one that I was nervous for. My hands were shaking so badly I couldn't type on my phone, and now understand what it means when someone feels "butterflies". Hopefully I will hear from her -- I think it would be perfect for me.

After I left Anthro and the butterflies were gone, I decided my pasty ghost skin needed some sun. Not exactly keeping track of time, I drag my pale self inside and look in the mirror to find what looks like a lobster who got stuck under a rock, as only half of my body is burnt due to the tree that was hovering over me. Awesome.

Then I had to go to a stupid meeting for work. Snooooze fest. My boss looks like the pringles guy. Only he only has one little sprout of hair on top, not one on each side. He shaves the rest of his head. Kid you not. No idea why he thinks a little tuft of hair that is shaped like a dome on his head is attractive, but he obviously did some thinking before coming to that decision.

When I got home from my meeting I worked out! Aren't you proud? I hate working out, therefore never do it. However, now that both of my sisters are getting married and I am painfully single...I figure its time to start shedding the cellulite, if not for finding a boy then atleast for the pictures from the impending weddings. *sigh* I hate it.

All in all, a very productive day. Cross your fingers for me about the job. :-/

Let's begin.

I shall jump on board and begin a blog!

Amy sent me a link to her blog the other day and in it she spoke of my mother having started one. I am apparently the last of the Doak girls to do this. So....lets jump.
